9:00 - Pick up from the hotel. Drive to the direction Mtsketa. Visiting Jvari monastery. It is a sixth century Georgian Orthodox monastery near Mtskheta, stands on the rocky mountaintop at the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers, it is listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO.
After Jvari you will go to Uplistsikhe, an ancient cave town and one of the oldest urban settlements in Georgia. The town represents a complex of various structures dating from the 12 cent. BC to the 17th cent. AD.
Drive to Borjomi, the town famous for the Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park. Experience winter trekking through the park on snowshoes (up to five hours). Have a picnic lunch during the trek, surrounded by the magical winter forest.
9:00 – Pick up from the hotel. Drive to the direction of Kakheti. The first stop will be at Wine factory KTW. You will taste 5 types of wine.
Bodbe.Visiting Bodbe Monastery. St. Nino Nunnery. Bodbe monastery occupies a distinguished place in the spiritual life. The reason, of course, is that there is grave The Illuminator, the right to the Holy Apostles Nino. Sighnaghi. Sighnaghi is a town in Georgia's easternmost region of Kakheti and the administrative center of the Sighnaghi Municipality. Sighnaghi's economy is dominated by the production of wine, traditional carpets, and Georgian traditional food Mtsvadi. The town and its environs are also known for their landscapes and historical monuments.
Due to its special and unique architecture and natural location Sighnaghi, the pearl of Kakheti region (110km from Tbilisi), is one of the most beautiful small towns in Georgia. Built 790 meters above the sea level, it overlooks the most beautiful landscape of Alazani Valley and Caucasus Mountains. It was recently restored under government project but the 200-year old view is still preserved. The wall, houses built with Georgian bricks, wooden fretwork balconies, cobblestone pavements, wine cellars, basements and of course the inimitable views produce an unforgettable impression upon the visitors of the town.
At 9:00, I will pick you up at your hotel in Tbilisi. The route will take over the Georgian Military Highway up North towards Russia. Your first stop will be at Ananuri complex a former residence of Argveti Dukes. Complex featuring churches and towers dating back to the XVI-XVII cc. is beautifully overlooking Jinvali reservoir. Continue our drive to see the conjunction of two small mountain rivers famous for the fact that being different in color they still keep their own colors even after merge. We will then drive over the Cross pass and make a short stop at Soviet time “People’s Friendship” mountain viewpoint overlooking a deep gorge of Caucasus mountain range. In Kazbegi, we will change our vehicle to a four-wheel-drive car (50L per car) to reach Gergeti Holy Trinity Church located on an altitude of 2170 m, and enjoy breathtaking views of Mt Kazbegi.
